History
Soli Terry Architects
has recently formed from the confluence of two independent and successful
paths. Todd Soli began his career by founding a design-build company in
the city of Seattle. He focused on small-scale residential projects and
found work in many of the classic neighborhoods around the city. This construction
background served him well as he later opened his 'architecture-only' practice
and continued to focus on custom residential projects. After a number of
years in his Seattle office, Todd opened a second studio in the town of
Langley to accommodate the growing demand for work on Whidbey Island. Since
then, Todd has completed numerous projects out of both offices with some
of his work venturing as far away as Asia, Hawaii and Montana.
Concurrently, after
starting his career working in the custom residential market of Sun Valley,
Idaho, Eric Terry moved to and settled down in Seattle. He quickly began
designing custom homes, remodels, vacation cabins and a variety of commercial
projects all over the Northwest. After several years with both a small firm
and working as a sole proprietor, Eric accepted an offer from the large
and prominent firm, GGLO. While Eric enjoyed the diversity of work and the
creative atmosphere at GGLO, he found himself looking to return to a setting
where a more intimate relationship could be developed with both the project
and the clients.
Todd and Eric's
very similar paths crossed early on, and they maintained contact as each
continued to pursue his own personal path. In early 2001, they began talking
about joining forces and now four years, a new Seattle office and many successful
projects later, the partnership has become a reality and Todd and Eric are
officially, Soli Terry Architects.
